Biography
Dr. Gianluigi De Geronimo received his Ph.D. in Electronics from Milan Polytechnic in 1997. Shortly after that, he joined Brookhaven National Laboratory (BNL) where he specialized in low-noise electronics for radiation detectors, becoming a Tenured Scientist and head of Microelectronics. Dr. De Geronimo successfully developed many advanced low-noise, low-power mixed-signal Application-Specific Integrated Circuits (ASICs) implementing innovative configurations and frequently achieving record performances. His ASICs are used in numerous research and commercial instruments for medical, safety, security, space, defense, industrial, and physics applications.
