NERS seniors honored at ANS Student Conference
Seven undergraduate students received three awards for their research and service.
The 2024 American Nuclear Society Student Conference was held on April 4–6, in University Park, Pennsylvania. Seven NERS seniors received three awards at the conference.
Geneve Magnan, Isabella Wood and Sam Schiavo received a “Best Talk and Paper in Reactor Physics” award for “Toward Optimization of Horizontal Compact High-Temperature Gas Reactor Core Loading Pattern.”
Julia Marshall received the ANS Commendation for Student Service and Leadership, which recognizes students whose demonstration of leadership and commitment to outreach and service resulted in significant achievements and the advancement of the nuclear community.
Giuliano Fonte Basso, Aaron Belman-Wells, and Caleb Bush received a “Best Paper in Radiation, Detection and Imaging” award.
