In Memoriam: Geza L. Gyorey

The former associate professor of nuclear engineering passed away on May 28, 2020.

Geza L. Gyorey

Geza L. Gyorey, alumnus and former associate professor of nuclear engineering, passed away on May 28, 2020, at the age of 86.

From the University of Michigan (U-M), Professor Gyorey received his B.S.E. degree in 1955, his M.S.E. in 1957, and his Ph.D. in 1960. His focus was on physics and nuclear engineering.

Professor Gyorey served on the NERS faculty from 1964–1967 as associate professor of nuclear engineering before embarking on a long career at the General Electric Company.

Professor Gyorey was an important member of the NERS community, and he will be sorely missed.
