Purifying Water with Plasma

Michigan Engineering professor John Foster is working on a method to purify water with plasma. Foster hopes his new technology will help solve a problem not currently being addressed in conventional treatment methods that rely on filtration and chlorine.

2019 NERS Ciara Sivels Ciara Sivels, NERS alumnus, has her graduation stole put on by her PhD advisor Sara Pozzi, Professor of Nuclear Engineering and Radiological Sciences, at the Rackham Graduate School Exercises at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, MI on May 3, 2019. Sivels is the first Black woman to receive her doctorate from the Nuclear Engineering and Radiological Sciences department at the College of Engineering, and returned to Ann Arbor specifically to attend her graduate student graduation ceremonies after graduating the previous semester.
